ShepherdHut Description
If you want something quite different, come and stay in our lovely, new Shepherd's Hut set in an ornamental garden and offering views over a lovely lake, the sea and the Mull of Galloway.
This beautiful, new, luxury Shepherd's Hut is fully fitted out and very well-equipped, with a 5ft double bed, wood burning stove, kitchen area with 2 hobs, a microwave, silent fridge and Belfast sink.
The Hut is 18ft by 7ft.5 wide and also includes a shower room with WC, basin and large shower.
It enjoys complete privacy and there also is a private terrace by the Hut, to relax and enjoy the view.
The Hut is set in a 12 acre, 4 Star, ‘Visit Scotland’ ornamental garden, which has a Tea Room with 'Taste Our Best' award, serving home made food, with fresh produce grown in the gardens, together with a small plant nursery.
It is set in a very sunny position, overlooking Luce Bay and the Isle of Man and located one mile off the main A75 at Dunragit village, signposted with brown ‘Visit Scotland’ signs.
We accept one small dog, but there are dog kennels adjacent if needed.
Our price £25 per night, per adult in low season, with the minimum stay being 2 nights, and £30 per night, per adult in high season.
We also have a caravan with bothy for hire in these lovely gardens, but this is not situated close to the Shepherd's Hut - please see Ref: 6209 for further information.

About the Area
Wigtownshire is one of South West Scotland's best kept secrets and boasts many beautiful and unspolt beaches. There are different golf courses close by for the keen golfer, sea and river fishing for the anglers amongst you and for walkers, the Galloway Hills which are nearby, together with many different walks. For the star gazers, the Galloway Forest is famous. The Southern Upland way is also near.Stranraer is located 7 miles away with all the major facilities, and the ferries to Belfast & Larne is a 2 hour trip from Cairnryan. Ayr and Glasgow are within easy reach too. Portpatrick is a very attractive seaside destination with fish restuarants and pubs, together with Sandhead village.
