Our mobile home to let on Les Amiaux, is fully equipped with a gas cooker, water heater, microwave oven, fridge/freezer, toaster and electric kettle, along with a TV and CD player.
Please note that the TV does not have UK channels, but it does have VGA/HDMI ports to enable playback of videos.
There is plenty of storage space, together with cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils.
The mobile home has two bedrooms; a double room and a twin room, so comfortably sleeps four people.
There is a shower room with wash basin, along with a separate toilet.
The mobile home has hedges on 3 sides providing privacy when relaxing outside. The plot is a good size and in a quiet area of the site. We have garden furniture for your use, including two sun loungers, a table and chairs, parasol and a BBQ. There is also parking in front of the mobile home.
An inventory is available on request.
We are members of a group of UK owners at Les Amiaux, and employ the services of 'hosts' to welcome you on your arrival and give support when required during your stay.
Duvets and pillows are provided, but you will need to provide your own linen (duvet covers, sheets, pillow cases, towels, tea towels etc.). Alternatively, our hosts provide a limited linen service at a charge if required, but this must be pre-booked. We also believe that reception may supply linen for a fee, but this should be checked with the Les Amiaux reception prior to travel.
Basic cleaning products are left at the mobile home, but items such as washing-up liquid are readily available in the camp shop or the local supermarkets a short drive away.
Guests are asked to keep the property clean and leave it ready for next occupants. Our on site hosts will check the home on departure. By arrangement, they also offer a cleaning service for a fee - the sooner they know the better!
We have another three bedroom caravan to hire on the same site, please see Ref: 5190b on this website.

About the Area
Les Amiaux is a lovely 4 * caravan site set in a 30-acre park behind a forest, in the Vendee area of France, which has its own micro-climate giving it comparable sunshine hours similar to the South of France.
The site is far enough from St Jean-de-Monts to be relaxing, but is still close enough to enjoy the weekly markets (Wednesday and Saturday) and have access to the local supermarkets. There are several good restaurants between the campsite and St Jean-de-Monts, with others available in town.
Les Amiaux reception is open every day. During low season (May, June and September) it is open from 9am to 12 noon and 2pm to 6pm. During high season (July and August) it is open from 9am to 8pm. English is spoken and there are safes for valuables. Post is collected every day at 12 noon, excluding Sundays.
To ensure a peaceful night's sleep and for security, the site gates are closed to vehicles from 11pm to 7am. However, there is parking available outside the security barrier for those wishing to stay out late!
A ½ mile woodland walk leads to a wide sandy beach, which is very safe for children. For those less inclined to walk, there are parking areas available along the coast giving access to the beaches, of which there are approximately 5 miles worth.
On the site itself there is a grocery store (opening from 8am to 12 noon and 3pm to 7pm) which offers a small selection of products at reasonable prices, as well as fresh bread and pastries every morning!
On site facilities include a licensed bar and restaurant offering good food and nightly entertainment. We believe that free internet access is available in the bar and café area. Wi-Fi is also available on site, but this is a paid for service available from reception. In our experience in high season, Wi-Fi reception is not great so you should test for a small period before committing to a longer one.
There are 2 pools at Les Amiaux, indoor and outdoor (children’s and adults) with water chutes. Both pools are solar heated. The indoor pool also has a Jacuzzi and the outdoor pool has plenty of sun beds for lazy days. There is also a splash pool for younger children and the main outdoor pool now provides disabled access. NB: Speedos or trunks are compulsory.
Also on site are tennis, football, volleyball, snooker, table tennis and of course pétanque. All are free except for pétanque. You can also hire bikes on site and try out the many cycle tracks in the area. Bike hire is available through reception as is the purchase of laundry tokens.
There is a kids' club for 6 to 12 year olds. Activities are free, but there are of course a limited number of places.
This site is an ideal destination for families and couples; there is more than enough here to keep you busy.
Venturing off the Park, the area provides opportunities for cycling, walking, quad biking, horse riding, tree climbing, horse racing at the Hippodrome with ponies and traps, golf, sand yachting and boat trips in the marais, to name but a few!
Nearby is the town of St Jean de Monts and with a beautiful 4 mile sandy beach with numerous kids' clubs available. There are also many lovely little towns and villages within easy reach of Les Amiaux and we thoroughly recommend visiting the markets/brocantes during your stay.
There are markets every day somewhere in the surrounding area!
Other local attractions include Notre Dame, which has a water tower to climb with panoramic views over the marais, the Ile de Yeu (accessible by boat), the Ile de Noirmoutier (that was an interesting bike riding day! but accessible by car also), St Gille de Croix La Vie (lively fishing port with a good selection of shops), Les Sable d'Olonne (popular beach with promenade and zoo) and there are chateaux to explore at Apremont and Pornic. Nantes is also worth a visit if you miss big town life, shops and restaurants.
There is an animal reserve at Planète Sauvage and a historical theme park at Puy du Fou. There is also an 18 hole golf course close by.
