Caravan Description
Our caravan on Hele Valley Holiday Park in Devon, is in really good condition and consists of one double bedroom, one twin bedroom, a kitchen, toilet and shower room. There's also a living room with large sofa seating, dining table and a double sofa bed, meaning the caravan can sleep 6 people.
Heating is provided by a gas fire in the living area and electric fan heating in other areas. Gas and electricity is included in the rental price.
The kitchen is well-equipped with all the usual stuff you would expect, plus a cafetiere and milk jug, which we never seem to find when we rent places!
The deck area is really big, so there's plenty of room for sitting outside sipping a beer or glass of wine when the sun shines - or even when it doesn't!
Hele Valley Holiday Park is on the eastern side of Ilfracombe in its own little valley. Hele beach is a five minute walk from the entrance of the park, as is the nearest bar/restaurant, "Hele Billy".
Bus stops are also close by, making it possible to access a wide range of places by public transport, perhaps combining a walk along the coast path and a bus back.
The location of Hele Valley Holiday Park means it is easy to access the North Devon coast, both the rocky bits between Coombe Martin and Ilfracombe, but also the surfing beaches around Croyde/Woolacombe.

The location of Hele Valley Holiday Park means it is easy to access the North Devon coast, both the rocky bits between Coombe Martin and Ilfracombe, but also the surfing beaches around Croyde/Woolacombe.
Ilfracombe, which is five minutes drive away, or a lovely 40 minute walk along the dramatic coast path, has some good coffee spots, deli's and restaurants to suit all tastes and pockets. The Quay, where Damien Hirst's dramatic sculpture "Verity" now sits, is really interesting any time, and you can also get a boat over to Lundy Island.
The site is family run, has no bars or clubhouse, just lots of relaxed people enjoying some time in this lovely area.
