About the Area

Thorness Bay has very good facilities including a restaurant with stunning views over the sea, an indoor pool with flumes, and a fantastic entertainment for the whole family.

It is a lovely wooded site with access to its own beach, and is only a 5 minute drive from the Island's main shopping town of Newport.

On site is a large play area with all weather sports court, an adventure playground etc. and kids club with Sparky leading the fun and games day and night. There is evening entertainment for everyone to enjoy; local bands, cabarets and theme nights. In fact, you don’t even have to leave the site to enjoy your holiday if you don’t want to.

Isle of Wight

If you want to explore the Island there are many places to visit such as Blackgang Chine, The Needles, Alum Bay, Robin Hill, a zoo and many others.

There are two very popular music festivals: The Isle of Wight Festival, 15th/16th and 17th June, with Bruce Springsteen and The Darkness this year, plus many more acts The Bestival, 8th to 11th September, with many famous bands appearing this year.
