Caravan Description
Our lovely family holiday home is available to rent in one of the most beautiful parts of France – the Loire Valley.
A modern 3 bedroom, heated caravan with a large covered decking, our holiday home comes with one double bedroom and two twin bedrooms, plus a proper sofa-type, pull-out double in the lounge should more be needed, allowing up to 8 people to sleep.
All beds have clean duvets and pillows, although we do not supply duvet/pillow covers or sheets and towels, which can be hired on site and made available for you upon arrival.
The caravan comes with a bright and clean bathroom with shower and a separate toilet.
The kitchen is equipped with a hob, combi-microwave oven, fridge-freezer, coffee maker, toaster and kettle and all the pots, pans and crockery etc. you could ever need.
There is a large lounge area with corner sofa, TV and DVD player and the usual dining table and chairs. However, we find our time is usually spent on the covered, lit terrace area, which comes with a further table and chairs, gas BBQ as well as two sun loungers for those long sunny afternoons.
What really helps our caravan stand out from others is the pitch it sits on. It’s a quiet, large lawned spot on the boundary of the site with a simply beautiful rural view of fields, which often have deer grazing in them that can be watched from the terrace. Without doubt; this is one, if not the most tranquil locations on the site.
In the peak season we usually only take bookings in fortnightly blocks but please get in touch and ask about availability.

About the Area
Dugny is one of the much-loved Siblu parks. These sites are very well maintained with excellent facilities, which include a swimming complex (passes will need to be purchased on arrival) with indoor and outdoor pools, children’s pools and a couple a fabulous outdoor waterslides. The pool is well supervised by English or English-speaking staff.In addition to swimming there is a new tennis court, kids clubs for all ages (Bubbles 1-4, Pirates 5-12s and the Barracuda 10-14s) and a fantastic multi-sport pitch where friendly and organised football, basketball and dodgeball games are regularly run. There's also a number of children’s play areas, lots of table tennis tables, bike/go-kart and pedalo hire. In short the kids will have a ball in this lovely, safe camp.
The site has a small supermarket (there are two large supermarkets in the nearest village of Onzain) a restaurant, takeaway and bar and free evening entertainment most nights provided by the excellent on-site team.
One of the most reassuring aspects of this site for us has always been the staff. They are all friendly, helpful and a lot of fun. They take a genuine pride in the site and really do help make every holiday special and hassle free.

For the comfort of everybody we ask that guests refrain from smoking inside the caravan.
Local Area
Domaine de Dugny is situated 2kms from the sleepy village of Onzain, 15 minutes from the historical town of Blois and 20 minutes from the picture-postcard town of Amboise. With the stunning River Loire just 3km away it is easy to understand why people that visit Dugny come again and again; our family visited every year for 5 years before we bought our caravan, which is typical of this site.
This is chateaux country (nearest at Chaumont is 3km away) and they are simply a must, but then again so are the vineyards, the markets in Amboise, Blois and our favourite Loches.
Getting to Dugny is straightforward; fly into Tours (30km), drive from Caen (4 hours) or use the Tunnel (5 hour drive) and with the cities of Rouen, Le Man and Chartres en route there are some beautiful places to stop on your journey.
