Caravan Description
We have a 37' x 12' Cosalt caravan, Winchelsea View, which has three bedrooms; one double room with en-suite WC and hand basin, one twin room and one room with two bunks. There is also a shower room with WC and hand basin.
The caravan is equipped with everything that you may require. This includes a Freeview TV with a DVD and CD player in the lounge and a well equipped kitchen with cooker, fridge, microwave, toaster, electric kettle, filter coffee maker and all the usual equipment you would expect. There is also an iron, ironing board and vacuum cleaner.
The site is privately owned and situated 200 yards off the main road down Victoria Way (a private road). We have had a holiday caravan here since 1960 and the area has remained picturesque and welcoming.
On the site there are only 6 caravans, 5 of which are only occupied for holidays by their owners.

We are situated 3 miles from Rye, which is an easy flat walk across open countryside or an 8 minute drive, 2 miles from the ancient town of Winchelsea and 9 miles from Hastings, which is about a 20 minute drive mostly along quiet country lanes.
The beach is only a 10 minute walk.
There is also WiFi if you have BT Fon.

About the Area
There is a Co-Op, Post Office and hairdressers 5 minutes walk away.Pubs
Our favourite pub is the The Queens Head situated at Icklesham, 4 miles from Winchelsea Beach. It always has a fine selection of real ales and an extensive menu. There is also a child friendly garden with great views across to Rye.
The Ship Inn is the nearest pub, about 15 minutes walk, and 2 miles in the opposite direction is The Smugglers at Pett Level, which can be reached by a bracing walk along the sea wall if you don't feel like driving. Both pubs have extensive menus.
There are many more excellent pubs in the surrounding area and Rye.
Other Pubs and Restaurants
In Rye there are Indian (our favourite being the Gandhi Tandoori), Chinese, Thai, Italian, Fish, A la Carte and many more restaurants, as well as about 14 pubs including the famous Mermaid Inn.
Buses
There is an hourly bus service into Rye and Hastings from the end of our road.
