Home to one of the most dramatic coastlines in the country stretching from the Humber River, and the world’s longest suspension bridge, past the towering chalk cliffs of Flamborough Head and up to the seaside towns of Scarborough and Whitby. Clustered steeply around its harbour and overlooked by the Abbey, Whitby is recognisably where Bram Stoker set many of Dracula’s chilling scenes. It was also where the great explorer Captain Cook set sail for Australia.
