Martello Beach is owned by Haulfrynns who took
over about 18 months ago and spent just over £1.3 million on a new clubhouse
and beautiful new indoor pool with small gym and sauna. It's a friendly
little site as all of the caravans are privately owned. The clubhouse has
various things going on during the summer and you have direct access to the
beach.
Locally Eastbourne town centre is about 10 minutes away by bus which stops
outside the main entrance. Sovereign Harbour complex is literally 2 minutes
away with its restaurants and shops including a large Asda.
During the summer we have many things going on including the Airbourne
Airshow which is held in August and the Ladies International Tennis prior to
Wimbledon in June. Then there is our wonderful Southdowns and Beachy Head to
explore. Brighton and Hastings are also within easy reach either by road or
train and make a good day out for the family.
Pevensey Bay is just down the road and is the place to buy anything to do
with the water, plus some good pubs and food. The same goes for Pevensey and
Westham, the two sister villages, with ancient Pevensey Castle.
There's loads to explore at Herstmonceux Castle for the children as there is
a hands on Science Centre. There's also a wonderful Thomas the Tank Engine
Miniature Railway with adventure play area and regular visits from Rev.
Awtry's son. If you're a railway enthusiast it's a must!
In the same area is a nine hole golf course plus we also have 3 other 18
hole courses.
So you see, there's loads to see and do.
