There is also a large decking area with
patio table, umbrella and chairs.
To ward off those colder evenings we provide convection heaters (with
timers).
Gas and electricity are supplied FREE of charge.
Please do not bring tackle or bait into our holiday home as not all holiday
makers are anglers and the smell does linger, even if you do not notice it
as an angler!
We do not provide linen (duvet covers, sheets, towels or tea towels) as this
would be an additional cost to the hire charges and most people prefer to
use their own; they know who it was last used by and how clean it is etc!
Cleaning of the caravan is NOT included in the hire price either - we are
trying to keep your costs down to a minimum. All we ask is that you
ensure the next holiday guest has a great time without cleaning up after
you. We provide cleaning materials so you do not have the additional costs -
please feel free to use them throughout your holiday if necessary.
IF YOU DO NOT WANT OR INTEND TO CLEAN THE CARAVAN THEN DO NOT BOOK IT !!
Conditions of Hire
White Acres has a policy of no more than 3 same sex persons to a caravan.
If you decide to book the caravan and more than 2 (3 total includes you!)
others join you White Acres have the right to remove you. Therefore we do
cater for fishing friends, but not stag/hen do's. Sorry about that, but
this is their ruling not ours.
Other White Acres rules include:
Maximum of 3 same sex angling parties are welcome where all the members are
over 25.
No bookings can be taken from all male/female parties where half the party
number are under 25.
No bookings can be taken for parties under the age of 21.
You cannot fish any of the festivals if you hire a privately owned caravan.
This caravan does not allow smoking or pets, again sorry but the smell does
linger. However you can smoke at the door or on the patio (I smoke, but
still do not smoke in my own caravan)
Entertainment and Facilities
Passes are available to purchase from the reception area. They cost £7.50
low season and £8.50 high season. Children under 2 go free. These will
allow you to use the club for the children's and adult entertainment
(including nightly bingo), the swimming pool and gym, solarium, soft play
area etc. Further details can be obtained from the very friendly reception
staff.
Fishing passes must be purchased from the lodge, just 4 caravans down.
There is also additional parking here should you want to use it. Fishing
Licences will also be required to fish at White Acres; these are available
at any post office or online before you leave.
White Acres Country Park
White Acres is a 5 star award winning holiday park, with 13 stunning fishing
lakes, set in the beautiful Cornish countryside. It has been awarded such
prestigious honours as the David Bellamy Gold Award and Enjoy England 4 Star
Award
The site offers many facilities for the young and young at heart. Children
have clubs running all day; get some fishing lessons in, play on the
galleon, or the many children's play areas around the park. In fact, there
is one just behind us on Ash Forest site.
If you are an angler we are within walking distance of the majority of lakes
and the fishing lodge is four caravans away and the staff are available for
help and advice.
Out & About
If you want to leave the site there are some amazing places to visit for old
and young alike. The Eden Project and Flambards for instance are just two
attractions, but there are so many more. Newquay is not only a top surf
venue but also has shopping, a zoo, clubs and nightlife. Truro is
approximately 20 minutes away and likewise Perranporth, another excellent
beach that also offers surf lessons, a fabulous beach and a bar on the beach
for those in need of a drink and food.
For more inspirational ideas the launderette has leaflets for local
attractions or just go on the internet for things to do in Cornwall and be
amazed at what is on offer.
