There is a fully equiped kitchen, which has a full sized gas hob with
overhead extractor fan and oven/grill. There is also a microwave, fridge,
kettle, toaster, saucepans, cooking utensils, cutlery etc.
There is a spacious family bathroom with hand basin and large walk in shower
with thermostatic control, along with plenty of storage cupboards and
shelves within the bathroom.
The twin bedroom has 2 good sized single beds and there is also a double
wardrobe and drawers for storage.
The double bedroom, with sea views, has a full sized double bed with space
for storage underneath, ample wardrobe space and drawers. This room also
benefits from having en-suite facilities with hand basin and toilet.
Clean bed linen, quilts, pillows etc are available for all the beds at no
extra cost (please advise if required).
Outside there is a raised decking area with seating, with great views over
the Bristol Channel towards Wales; nice for winding down after a long day of
exploring.
There is parking for 1 car directly at the front of the holiday home and
there is more parking available throughout the site if required.
Dogs are also welcome in the holiday home (small/medium well behaved type)
with prior arrangement. A £25 fee is applied per visit as all carpets are
cleaned afterwards.
Dogs must be kept on a lead whilst within the holiday park and must never at
any time, be left unattended the holiday home.
Due to the raised location of the holiday home, although welcomed is not
recommended for disabled or elderly persons.
This holiday home meets all safety standards and has smoke detectors and
carbon monoxide monitors fitted. A fire extinguisher and first aid kit is
also included.
Upon arrival there will be coffee, tea, biscuits and fresh milk in the
fridge.
A swipe card will be provided for your stay to enable passage through the
security gate at the park entrance out of hours.
Warren Bay Holiday Village
Warren Bay Holiday Village is a quiet family run park on the north Somerset
coast overlooking the Bristol Channel.
Dogs are welcome on the park and there is access to the local fossil beach,
which is just a couple of minutes walk away. The beach is a great place for
fossil hunting and rock pooling, fishing etc. Kids just love it!
Facilities on the park include a heated indoor swimming pool and toddler
pool (seasonal opening times). There is also a launderette with washing and
drying machines, and recycling facilities on site.
A well stocked on site shop sells provisions such as newspapers, magazines,
eggs, milk, bacon, sausages etc. There is also an off licence within the
shop.
There is a small childrens play area for under 8's on the site.
Locally
The nearest pubs and restaurants are to be found in the local historic
harbour town of Watchet, just 3 to 4 minutes drive (15 minute walk) down the
road. Watchet has several pubs and restaurants to suit all tastes and there
are also fish & chips and other takeaways in the village.
The historic town of Watchet is steeped in history and has the West Somerset
Railway line running through its own train station, which runs real steam
trains from March to October. There is also a local museum in the centre of
Watchet town, which has many Exhibits from the days of the mineral line,
which is famous in the area and a mixure of fossils found on the local
beaches (entrance to the museum is free).
There are also daily fishing trips avaialble for the sea fairing legs;
booking available in the local shops of Watchet.
The village of Dunster is just 10-15 minutes drive away, which is considered
by many to be the gateway to Exmoor National Park. Dunster has many lovely,
quaint little shops and tea rooms, and even boasts its own castle and
grounds which are open to the public and run by the National Trust.
Not forgetting the Exmoor ponies, which roam wild !!!
Minehead is a 10-15 minute drive and boasts an array of arcades, pubs,
restaurants etc. with a weekly holiday market and also a continental market.
And of course the famous Butlins resort, whereby daily family tickets can be
purchased for a great day out !
You can find noise and excitement, but at the end of the day when you need
peace and quiet, our site is the the ideal location.
As this is a quiet family orientated park we prefer no same sex group
bookings please, i.e. stag/hen parties etc.
