Location
The caravan is sited at St Osyth Beach Holiday Park and is only 5 minutes walk away from the beach.
Walk through the centre of the Park from our caravan and you will find the
beach; follow the beach to the right and after a short walk you will find an
ice cream stall plus a beach shop. There is also a lovely cafe, fish and
chip shop and pub with outdoor seating. Alternatively if you follow the
beach to the left and you will come to larger beach areas, keep going and
after about 50 to 60 minutes walk, you will get to Clacton-on-Sea with all
its seaside entertainment.
The large indoor heated swimming pool on St Osyth Beach Holiday Park comes complete with a flume and a shallow area for younger children.
The entertainment venue has a real relaxing family feel to it; there is a
bar area and a large stage for the live shows which feature at weekends and
during the peak season. There is also another 'pub' type bar with outdoor
seating at the back of this.
Pass required for the following: Heated indoor pool and kids club 5 - 14 years.
Pass not required for the following: Dining area, free Wi-Fi in club area, metered Wi-Fi in caravan, launderette, mini-mart, family bar with Sky TV (pass not usually asked for, although if group is noisy or causing problems security will ask to see passes, if none can be shown people may be asked to leave).
Next door is Seawick Park, which is St Osyth Beach's sister park. They have
similar facilities including a larger club house, bars, carvery etc. as well
as a larger shop and outdoor swimming pool.
Seawick Park is also where The Venue is; an entertainment centre which holds
many live acts over the course of the year, like the X FActor Finalists and
Peter Andre who started his 2010 Tour there last year.
Clacton-on-Sea is only 15 minutes away in the car or if you feel energetic
you can walk from the park along the sea front all the way to Clacton beach,
it takes just over an hour!
The area is becoming very fashionable again as more people decide to take
their holidays in England and flock to traditional seaside resorts.
Try to win a teddy on the famous pier or visit one of the two theatres for a
show. There is so much to do in Clacton throughout the summer, including the
famous Air Show, that you may have to come back again and again!
