As the caravan is in a quiet end of row position it is bordered along one side by a mature hedge and trees and has a large private grassed area with table and chairs provided.
The caravan has mains gas, electricity and water and all costs are included. The caravan is protected by an alarm system.
It is fully equipped with everything you will need to enjoy your holiday including duvets, pillows and bed linen. All you need to bring are your own towels and tea towels.
The kitchen contains a full sized integrated fridge and separate freezer, gas oven and hob, microwave oven, toaster, electric kettle and iron. There is a full sized sink and drainer and ample worktop space with a range of fully fitted floor and wall cupboards for storage. All cutlery, crockery, serving utensils, pans and serving dishes are provided together with a full range of cleaning materials and an ironing board. The floor is covered with an attractive tile effect fitted vinyl. The dining area has a circular table and chairs.
The comfortable lounge area has a fitted electric fire with wooden surround and over mirror, two comfortable armchairs and a four seater curved settee with hidden pull out double bed. The use of throws and cushions allows the owners to refresh the caravan regularly and maintain a high standard of cleanliness. For this reason, pets are regrettably not allowed. There is a TV cabinet with freeview television and radio/CD player.
The family toilet and shower room has a low flush toilet and full sized wash basin. The shower cubicle is extremely large and has a deep shower tray with plug suitable for bathing small children. There is an under sink storage cupboard and a mirrored wall cabinet and shelves.
The master bedroom features a full size comfortable double bed, bedside shelving units and fitted wardrobes with sliding mirror doors and integrated drawers. There is an en suite toilet and corner handbasin. The second bedroom has two full sized single beds, fitted wardrobes and drawers and a mirror with surrounding shelf storage.
A non refundable deposit of £50 is payable with all bookings.
Thorpe Park Holiday Village
Our caravan is situated at Thorpe Park in a quiet crescent of modern caravans close to the golf course, sand dunes and open countryside.
Within easy walking distance is a shop and launderette, amusements and children’s play area with tennis and crazy golf. Thorpe Park also has an indoor pool with water chute, separate children’s pool and a jacuzzi. There is also an outdoor water area with water slides. Family friendly bars provide cooked breakfasts, snacks throughout the day and a full evening menu. There is a daily entertainment programme for both children and adults.
Outdoor activities include two fishing lakes, a nine hole golf course, pitch and putt course, playground, rides, trampolines, go karts, cycle hire, crazy golf, archery. paintballing and climbing wall with zipwire. In addition, there is an on-site bakery and fish and chip shop.
The caravan is only minutes’ walk from unspoilt sand dunes and clean, Blue Flag award winning beaches. The nearby Humber estuary is a wildlife sanctuary for sea birds and there are many walks in the surrounding countryside and salt marshes. A free tractor-train runs around the site at peak holiday times and there is a public bus service running though the holiday park right into Cleethorpes which is three miles away. A safe path and cycle track also runs along the edge of the sand dunes to the sea front and town.
Cleethorpes & Surrounding Area
Cleethorpes has something for everyone. A miniature steam train and road train run along the sea front daily. There is a wide, child safe promenade, a pier and many flower beds for which Cleethorpes has won several awards. There are modern bars and restaurants too as well as McDonalds and KFC. The popular Pleasure Island Theme Park is close to the entrance to Thorpe Park and there is also a small zoo and boating lake. You can also enjoy the multi-screen cinema, bowling alley and Lazer Quest or try the modern Leisure Centre with water chute and wave machine.
Nearby is the maritime town of Grimsby where you can visit the Fishing Heritage Centre. Surrounding Cleethorpes is beautiful countryside with quiet villages, windmills, nature reserves and fishing ponds. The Lincolnshire Wolds is an area of outstanding natural beauty with many well marked walks and scenic drives. Also nearby is the historic market town of Louth and Lincoln with its cathedral and castle. Just across the Humber Bridge, Hull has an excellent variety of shops. The Deep aquarium is also worth a visit with all kinds of sea life from sharks to coral reefs.
