The Location
Escape to the peace and quiet in one of the most scenic parts of Scotland - The Colvend Coast, Dumfries & Galloway in South West Scotland. We are conveniently located just one hour's drive from the border at Gretna Green/ M74.
Our new, luxury caravan is set in a private park in the picturesque yachting village of Kippford and is a leisurely 10 minute walk from the stunning village waterfront with its 2 hostelries and Yacht club.
Set in an area designated for its 'natural scenic beauty' there is lots to see and do: magnificent coastal and forest walks, mountain biking, golf courses (a 9-hole 'pay & play' course is just across the road), sandy coves and rocky beaches to explore, nature reserves, gardens and National Trust properties to visit. Or you may just want to unwind and enjoy the 'wildlife' on your doorstep, which includes red squirrels, deer, badgers, rabbits and abundant bird life.
On a clear night, gaze at the massive dark sky with its spectacular vista of twinkling stars and planets (no light pollution here!). In the morning Wake up to the birdsong and the sound of the wind as it gently winds its way through the shimmering trees.
