The park offers a safe, secure environment with local attractions including the beautiful towns of
Girvan and Ayr. At Turnberry Caravan Park you can enjoy a country setting by the sea for all the
family. The Caravan Park has a newly refurbished bar and restaurant offering live entertainment,
family amusements and a beer garden with children's play area, games area, and a tranquil beer garden
with heated lamps. A mini market and launderette are also available on site.
Dowhill Country Fayre farm shop and restaurant are at the entrance to the Park offering local
produce such as home grown strawberries, beef, lamb, pork and poultry supplied by local farms.
There is something for everyone here with plenty of tourist attractions in the surrounding areas of
Girvan, Ayr, Scotland and Turnberry. Ayrshire is one of Scotland’s most popular tourist
destinations for couples and families. Ayrshire offers clean beaches and beautiful waters of the
Firth of Clyde.
Turnberry Holiday Park has a breathtaking view of the Ailsa Craig with its bird sanctuary (boat
trips available from Girvan). Girvan is the nearest seaside town with local tourist amenities and
leisure centre. Culzean Castle is amongst many historic attractions along with Ayr, just 20 minutes
down the A77. There is also local trout and sea fishing facilities, and not to mention the
Turnberry Golf Course & Turnberry Hotel, with its leisure facilities, just 1 mile from the park.
Turnberry is easy to reach both via the A77 from Glasgow heading down the south west coast past Ayr
and Turnberry, and from the south M6 to A76 Dumfries, heading north to join A77, then follow signs
for Turnberry.
The ferry crossings to Lara and Belfast offer a chance to see Ireland from Dumfries and Cairnyan.
