Winchelsea Sands Holiday Park
My caravan is conveniently situated on Winchelsea Sands Holiday Park, a friendly, family orientated site with 300 caravans, of which 280 are privately owned.
Winchelsea Sands is approximately 3 miles from Rye, 8 miles from Hastings and 400 yards from a safe beach. The site itself offers a heated outdoor pool, clubhouse with live entertainment, restaurant, snack bar, amusements, launderette and children's playground.
Winchelsea has family friendly pubs within walking distance of the park, offering great food, and there is a supermarket directly outside the park entrance with an ATM.
Local Area
6 miles from Rye is the famous Camber Sands beach which, as its name suggests, is a long sandy beach with other holiday attractions. Rye is a quaint old town with quirky shops, cobbled streets, interesting architecture and the best ice cream on the south coast!!
8 miles in the other direction is Hastings, with its promenade, children's rides and amusements, theatre and Sea Life Centre. As it is a fishing town there are a number of excellent fish restaurants. It also boasts the lovely Old Town and plenty of shopping opportunities in the new town centre. There is an open top bus to take you around to see the sites.
