We now have SKY TV installed offering a range of digital channels for all the family (more importantly, our younger visitors can catch up with their favourite CBeebies programmes!).
We are also pleased to provide a travel cot and high chair at no extra cost.
Safety is paramount so naturally the caravan carries CORGI approved Gas and Electrical Appliance Certificates, together with smoke detectors and fire extinguisher as standard.
The resort also benefits from 24 hour security patrol.
Where is it?
‘High Trees’ is situated in a peaceful position on the Park Resorts site at Lower Hyde, Shanklin, Isle of Wight. The caravan is adjacent to a pretty bridle path, taking you directly into the centre of Shanklin. The resort is a 5 minute walk from the bus and train stations.
The English Tourism Council awarded an impressive 4**** holiday park grading to Lower Hyde. In addition, the holiday park was awarded the Gold 2006 David Bellamy Award for commitment to the environment.
Facilities at Lower Hyde include a restaurant (high chairs and children's menus available), take-away, mini-mart shop and launderette.
Sports Facilities: Indoor and outdoor swimming pools, all weather sports pitches offering football and basketball, archery, tennis, pool, darts, adventure playground for children.
Entertainment: The emphasis is on a family oriented entertainment centre offering friendly and fun filled activities for all.
For adults: bingo, disco, cabaret, National Karaoke Championships 2007. For
children: under 5's disco, junior disco (12-16), Sparky's club (fun for 5-11 year olds), 'The Mix' club (daily entertainment for 12-16 year olds).
We are pleased to inform you that the cost of your holiday includes a family pass for all on-site facilities and entertainment; there are no extras to pay.
Holidays and Short Breaks
You can book our caravan for a weekend break (arrive Friday, depart Monday) or a 4 night midweek break, arrive Monday, depart Friday. Of course, if you want a longer holiday, come for one or two weeks. Weekly bookings are normally Saturday to Saturday, but subject to availability, we are happy to be flexible.
Our caravan is available from 1st March right through to Christmas and New Year (please note however that the park entertainment finishes at the end of October).
Things to do on the Isle of Wight
There is such a diversity of activities for all the family to enjoy. Discover the local sheltered beaches of Shanklin or Sandown. Shanklin offers a tempting variety of pubs and restaurants, there is also a theatre and a nightclub in the town.
Explore the Island and visit the following attractions:
Gardens, museums, vineyards, potteries, cinemas, theatres, ice rink, Planetarium, Dinosaur Isle, Amazon Zoo Park, IOW Steam Railway, Osborne House, Carisbrooke Castle.
For sports lovers, the Island has plenty ofchoice:
Sailing and water sports, cycling (bike hire available locally), golfing (8 golf courses),
horse-riding, fishing.
Not forgetting the Isle of Wight Music Festival, 8-10 June (Rolling Stones headlining).
