Our mobile home is modern and maintained to a high standard. It has two bedrooms,
one double and one twin bedded (the twin beds can be pushed together if a second
double is required). It can sleep up to 4 adults or two adults and up to three
children, with the fifth person sleeping in the lounge area.
Pillows, blankets and duvets (if required) are supplied and our on site managers offer a linen service for a reasonable price.
The bathroom, which is en-suite to the double bedroom, has a shower, wash basin and toilet. It is also accessible from the living area.
The lounge is attractively furnished with a comfortable seating area, table and stools and double patio doors opening out to the patio area.
The kitchen area is well equipped with fridge, gas hob and oven, electric kettle and plenty of saucepans, utensils, crockery and cutlery.
Moving outside, our mobile home is situated in a quiet, tree lined location. The site is spacious and has both sun and shade provided by a large ash tree. There is also a garden table and six chairs, 2 sunloungers, a parasol and barbecue with utensils. Indeed, this 'outside room' is where you will probably spend most of your time, given the beautiful sunny weather of the Mediterranean.
Other extras supplied free of charge include a DVD player and TV to watch DVDs, a CD/radio, two fans, iron and ironing board and hairdryer. A new travel cot and mattress is available also, if required.
Water, gas and electricity is included in the weekly rate.
Camping du Pylone
Camping du Pylone is a large cosmopolitan campsite which is well run by the French family who own it. It has a popular and reasonably priced restaurant and take away service, a pizzeria, shop and bakery selling delicious fresh bread and croissants daily. There is also a Bureau de Change, telephones and a launderette.
There is also a large swimming pool, children's swimming pool and play areas, a football field, table tennis tables and the possibility of fishing in the River Braque which runs through the site. During the high season, live entertainment is provided in the bar.
Surrounding Area
A short walk from the campsite is Marineland with its dolphins and killer whales, Aquasplash water park with waterslides and wave pool, adventure golf, Petite Ferme children's animal farm, Luna Park funfair and the Vaugrenier Natural Park with its fresh water lagoon, picnic tables and 7 miles of walking trails.
The bus stops and Biot railway station are only a short walk from the site entrance, as is the beautiful blue Mediterranean sea and the local pebble beach. There is a wide choice of sandy beaches in the surrounding area, the closest being literally only a few minutes away by train in nearby Antibes.
Apart from the well known resorts along the Mediterranean coast, inland there is a wealth of beautiful old hilltop villages to be explored such as nearby Biot, famous for glass-blowing, lovely St Paul de Vence, Haut de Cagnes etc.
The area is rich in art and culture - Matisse, Picasso and Renoir are but a few of the artists who have lived and worked in the area and you can visit their galleries.
