Camping Le Dattier
Camping Le Dattier is a small campsite by French standards and retains a family feel. The site is on a slight slope surrounded by trees and exotic plants.
Facilities include 2 swimming pools and a small children's pool, which is open throughout the season but please note there are life guards in July and August only. The pools have a good supply of sun loungers and chairs for your use.
Also on site is a tennis court, badminton/volley ball court and a French Boules area. For children there is a small games room and playground with swings and slides. There are also two donkeys which welcome any visitors and the treats they bring with them!
Other facilities include a laundry with 2 industrial washing machines, for which a small charge is made locally, as well as a restaurant/bar with a take-away service.
Just off site (opposite the entrance) is a reasonable supermarket with a pharmacy next door to it. There are also a couple of restaurants and take-aways which are within easy walking distance.
There is a huge Hypermarket, the Geant Casino, in Frejus.
Local Area
The local area offers plenty of interest and entertainment within easy reach of the site.
The towns of Frejus and Saint Raphael are 1 mile away as are Aquatica Water Park and fairground. The closest beach is 2 miles away in Frejus.
St Tropez is a 20 minute boat ride away from Frejus, or if you fancy a drive along the coastal road it's 20 miles.
Beware though, there is heavy traffic in July and August but it is well worth a visit to see how the other half live! Experience the atmosphere and the shopping.
Grasse perfumery is 20 miles and Cannes is only 11 miles, another very scenic journey along the unspoilt coastal roads - a must!
Why not take a trip into St Raphael in the evening and stroll along browsing at all the local craft stalls. Frejus harbour is also worth a visit in the evening.
Monaco is easily accessible, about an hour's drive, and there are plenty of places to park as underground car parks have been built in recent years.
