For your added comfort on those hotter days we have also provided an air-contitioning unit, as well as a floor standing fan, and also fans in both bedrooms.
Outside the mobile home there is a paved area with a gazebo, table, chairs, sun loungers and gas BBQ. There is also a storage box where visitors can put their suitcases. There is a parking space for a car and plenty of shaded areas.
Linen can be provided by us for a nominal charge.
Bookings are usually Saturday to Saturday, but midweek bookings are acceptable out of season.
Camping Le Dattier
Camping Le Dattier is a 4* site. It is French owned, but run by English
people, who are on hand to help you if there are any problems.
The views are breath-taking, with 2 pools and a baby pool, restaurant/bar,
tennis court, children's play area and friendly Donkeys (they love plenty of
carrots). There is a very friendly atmosphere on Le Dattier and it is ideal
for families. In high season there is entertainment some evenings.
Local shops are close by with Carrefour and Geant Hypermarkets only a short
drive away.
Within easy reach of Le Dattier there are plenty of markets including the
large Sunday morning market which stretches all along the sea front in
Frejus to St. Raphael. Here you can buy food, clothes, gifts, Jewellery
etc. It is well worth a visit and is always very busy. You will usually
find a pipe band playing too, which is very entertaining.
The historic market town of Frejus is only 10 minutes away, where you will
find a Roman amphitheatre as well as the Cathedral in the main square.
There is also a good selection of restaurants.
St. Raphael is nearby with lovely sandy beaches, harbour and good night
life.
St. Aygulf is also good for swimming and is only a 10 minute drive away.
Nice, Cannes, Monte Carlo, Port Grimaud and St Tropez are well worth a visit
and not too far to travel.
There is also an Aqua Park (Aquatica) nearby which is a great, fun day out.
There are lovely golf courses only 15 minute drive away near St. Agay.
Getting There
Frejus is approximately 12 hours drive from Calais and is just off the A8
motorway.
If you prefer to fly into Nice, Easyjet is probably one of the cheapest
airlines and you can fly from Gatwick, Stanstead, Luton and various other
airports in England.
If you fly into Marseilles airport, you can hire a car from there and it only takes 1½ hours to get to the site.
Hire cars are available from the airport or you can get a coach to Frejus.
There is also a taxi service if required.
