You will find the accommodation very comfortable with three fitted bedrooms, separate shower and toilet, fully fitted kitchen and remote controlled air conditioning.

The lounge has as a Satellite TV and DVD player, and includes a wide and varied selection of films for you and your family to enjoy.

We have one of the larger gardens on site, backing on to a field. Our spacious plot now benefits from wooden terracing. All garden furniture, loungers and a barbecue are there for you to enjoy.

Les Charmettes

Les Charmettes has superb facilities and is kept spotlessly clean and tidy. There is a complex of pools which includes an indoor heated pool and jacuzzi, beach style water fountain pool, general swimming pool, two children's pools, an aqua play station, 4 lane water slide and bubble pool etc. All pools are supervised at all times by trained lifeguards.

There are also play areas with swings and play frames dotted around the site for toddlers.

Also on site there is a launderette, bureau de change, safety deposit boxes, information service, internet, sports club, gymnasium, hairdressers and beauty treatments, bar and terrace, supermarket, take-away pizza, burgers and chicken, take-away creperie/ice Cream and an excellent restaurant. There are also horse riding lessons provided on the site.

There is a very impressive entertainments centre which provides entertainment every night for children and adults.

There are free children’s clubs: Bubbles (1-4 years, parents must attend); Pirate Club (5-9 years); Barracudas (10-14 years). Every night there is entertainment with music, dancing and family fun. The clubs are a great opportunity to make new friends with other children from all over Europe.

There are also plenty of activities for adults if they choose to take part, ranging from French lessons to keep fit.

On the site there are also tennis courts, mini golf, bike hire, pool tables, volleyball, archery and boules. There are fishing lakes next to the site and golf courses and riding stables are just a short drive away. There is also wind surfing, karting, sea and freshwater fishing, parachuting, flying and speedboat/dinghy launch to be found within minutes of the site.

The wide, soft sandy beaches of La Palmyre are a short drive away and accessed through picturesque woodland, ideal for picnics, horse riding cycling etc.

La Palmyre is also home to France's most impressive zoo (a short distance from the site). The giraffes are addicted to popcorn so have some ready.

Other Local Attractions include:

Royan - famous for its beautiful beaches, first class restaurants, chic French shops and one of the biggest marinas in Europe, yet it still has a lovely relaxing atmosphere

Saints - a Roman town filled with architectural heritage including a colosseum and the Arch of Hermanicus dating from the 1st century and standing by the pretty river Charente

La Rochelle - approximately 40 miles from the site. This impressive old town has a unique fascination and buzz that can only be experienced by going there. Its beautiful harbour surrounded by stately buildings, is one of the largest yachting centres in France. There are excellent restaurants and shops of every type, street entertainers, crafts and a Sealife Centre just outside the town that the children will love

La Temblade - take a boat trip to see the famous oyster beds

Cognac - birthplace of the world's finest brandy - tour is good

We have found our mobile home at Les Charmettes a unique holiday experience. When we go there alone it is relaxing, calm and refreshing. When we take children and grandchildren, there is something there for all of them.
