Camping Le Dattier

Camping Le Dattier is a friendly French family run 4 star site. The on-site facilities include 2 swimming pools, tennis and boules courts, a bar/restaurant and a games room. Some facilities will vary according to the season, but in high season there is sometimes evening entertainment for adults and daily free entertainment for the children.

Just opposite the main entrance there is a supermarket selling a wide range of foodstuffs and other goods. There are also 2 major hypermarkets and other major supermarkets within 5 minutes drive.

If you are looking for a beach holiday, within a 10 minute drive are the sandy beaches of St Raphael, Frejus and St Aygulf, with some watersport and other attractions available (including the Aquapark at Frejus).

For those who like to explore, the old town of Frejus is worth a visit with Monaco, Nice, Cannes, Antibes, St Tropez and Marseilles being within easy reach. Most are served by a coastal railway. Inland you can visit the old towns of Grasse, Fayence, Vence and Lac St Cassien for a variety of fishing and watersports, and a little further away the Gorge du Verdon with its spectacular scenery.

For those that like eating out there are many good cafes and restaurants in the vicinity, and those who like wine will no doubt take the opportunity to partake in degustations at the caves one sees dotted about the back country.

Frejus is approximately 12 hours drive from Calais and is just off the A8 motorway. If you prefer to fly, Easyjet flies into Nice from several departure points in the UK and Ryanair has a service from Stansead to Toulon. Both airports are approximately 45 minutes from Le Dattier and hire cars are available at each terminal. It is also possible to get to Frejus from Nice by coach or train.
