We have a table and chairs here and there are
parasols available should you need some shade. The rear patio is more
private; somewhere you can relax on a lounger and simply snooze in the sun
or relax with a good book.
There are 2 bedrooms to the rear of the mobile home, 1 double with plenty of
cupboard space and a dressing table, and a twin also with plenty of storage.
Duvets and pillows are provided for you, but you will need to bring your own
linen.
There is also a fully integrated bathroom with shower, sink and toilet.
The mobile home has private parking and is close to reception where there is
a library, bike hire and plenty of tourist information should you wish to
get out and explore the area, which we would highly recommend.
All the other site amenities are within walking distance.
Le Lac des Reves
Le Lac des Reves is one of the Siblu 4* sites located on the outskirts of
Montpellier on the edge of the Etang de Mejean (known for its flamingos),
overlooking Palavas and Carnon to the south and the stunning mountains to
the north. The site has a nice welcoming feel to it and is clean and tidy
with nice spacious plots.
There's a whole host of activities available on the park; something for
everyone I'm sure. These include the pool complex with its large heated
pool and smaller one for the kids, also a jacuzzi and waterslide. These can
be viewed on the Siblu website. There are plenty of loungers available and
the bar and restaurant overlook the pool complex. There is also a good
takeaway; the pizzas are exceptionally good.
Fun Passes for entry to the pool complex can be purchased from reception on
either a daily or weekly basis.
Leisure activities include mini golf and table tennis, both have a small
charge for clubs and bats. Tennis courts, football pitch, basketball,
boules and archery are available and there is also bike hire on the site.
The kids clubs can be booked on arrival and are for the very young to
teenagers.
There is also a small supermarket and laundry on site. A wi-fi card can be
purchased from reception.
Local Area
The Languedoc Roussillon is a beautiful and diverse region of France, from
the miles of white sandy beaches to the mountains with its caves and rivers.
The Petit and Grand Travers beaches are 15 minutes away. You can have a
days canoeing and swimming in the river by travelling just 40 minutes in
land.
Lattes and Perols are the local villages and both have a market; Lattes
being the biggest and most vibrant on Sunday morning. Montpellier is a
must, steeped in culture and history with lots of lively bars, restaurants,
shops and great people watching. You can drive in and park under Place de
la Comedie, but an easier option by far is driving to the Odysseum and
taking the tram.
Other places of interest are Aigues Mortes, Ste Guilhem le Desert, Palavas,
Sete, Pont du Gard and Nimes.
For your shopping there are Carrefour and Auchan supermarkets within 5kms of
the site, along with many other shops.
Getting There
Montpellier airport is 10 minutes away. Nimes and Beziers airports are 45
minutes, and Carcassonne and hour and a half. All are served by low cost
carriers and have car hire available.
Ferries and the Tunnel are a good option. Driving through France adds to
the holiday and you can easily break the journey by stopping for a night in
a motel. The French motorways are a dream to drive on, but don't forget the
tolls that apply on some.
Eurostar connects onto a high speed TGV, which is another way to get there.
You get to see a lot more of the country whilst letting someone else do the
driving!
