We have also provided a small picnic set for you to use at the beach, water
parks etc.
In the lounge is a portable air cooling unit, a TV with Freeview satellite,
and a DVD player with a few films for you to enjoy. The seating area will
comfortably seat 8 and there is also a dining table.
The kitchen is fully equipped with oven, 4 ring hob, microwave, kettle,
coffee machine, fridge, steamer and toaster, along with ample plates, cups,
bowls, pots and pans.
In the master bedroom is a double bed, 2 wardrobes, drawers and other small
cupboards, and a dressing table with stool. There is also enough room for a
travel cot (provided). The second bedroom has 2 single beds, a wardrobe,
cupboards and a wall mirror, plus a lightweight Ikea high chair too. There
is also a pull-out sofa bed in the lounge.
All beds are supplied with duvets and pillows, but you need to bring your
own bed linen, towels and tea towels.
The bathroom has a lovely shower, big enough for the largest adult, a basin
and WC.
All of the internal electric sockets are English sockets (so no need for
adaptors).
Also provided for your convenience is a vacuum cleaner, broom, mop, iron and
ironing board etc. plus cleaning products.
Le Bois Dormant
Le Bois Dormant and its sister site across the road, Le Bois Masson, benefit
from extensive facilities including swimming pools with waterslides, bars,
restaurants, gym, sauna, tennis court, kids play areas and clubs. The
facilities on both sites are available to use with a fun pass, which can be
purchased daily or weekly from the reception.
There is a small shop on the site selling various groceries and basic
necessities. Other facilities include tennis, table tennis, a multi sports
area where football tournaments are regularly held, mini golf, cycle hire,
children's play areas and daily children's clubs to suit various age groups.
The sister park Le Bois Masson is located a short walk across the road,
which has a much larger restaurant and bar, again hosting evening
entertainment which, after 8pm, is aimed at the slightly older members of
the family. There is also a mini market on this site offering a much wider
variety of items than that in the Les Bois Dormant shop.
All facilities on Bois Masson are available to our guests.
The site has Wi-Fi throughout the site (at an extra cost).
Both parks are patrolled by security guards after 11pm ensuring that
everybody has an enjoyable stay.
St Jean-de-Monts
The area around St Jean-de-Monts has it all. The beach here is truly superb,
stretching for miles, and is excellent for water sports plus a dedicated
section for the younger kids. There is also a fine selection of restaurants
in St Jean-de-Monts, many specialising in seafood. Also, well worth a visit
is the morning market where you can indulge in the excellent fresh foods and
local produce. This grows to a huge market on Wednesdays and Saturdays
selling just about everything. St Jean-de monts also boast a superb golf
course, 9 hole pitch & putt and a driving range.
Nearby there is karting, quad bikes and paint balling. Horse riding is
another popular activity with rides through the beautiful pine forests as
well as beach rides. For the more adventurous there are tree top adventure
parks and bungee jumps.
Magnificent Atlantic Coastline
Golden sands, sunny days, sleepy villages and sunflower fields that stretch
for miles; visit one of the beautiful islands L'Ile d'Yeu, L' Ile de Re or
cross the causeway to Noirmoutier Island or the pretty inland villages of
Sallertaine, Soullans and Coex to name but a few.
Atlantic Toboggan Water Park
Approximately 2 miles away, Atlantic Toboggan Water Park is a fun day out
for all the family. Opens June - discounted tickets available from
reception.
St Gilles-Croix-de-Vie
Approximately 10 miles away is this delightful fishing port with quayside
cafes, restaurants and shops.
Les Sables d'Olonne
This lively resort is approximately 25 miles away and has an excellent
beach, zoo and golf course. The marshlands of the Marais Poitevin are home
to many birds; it was a reclaimed area, and now designated as a National
Park.
Then for a real treat visit the Cognac vineyards, which are inland from the
Charente Maritime coast, or La Rochelle with its famous twin towers guarding
the harbour and the Château de la Roche, which provides a classic example of
luxurious living dating from the 15th century.
And finally the must see attraction of Le Puy de Fou château, which provides
the backdrop for the spectacular 'son et lumiere' (sound and light show). By
day, there's lots to explore, plus a fabulous 'Grand Parc' a 6,000 seat
Roman stadium where you can watch medieval gladiators and exciting Viking
shows.
