An iron and board are also included. There is a full range of day to day cooking utensils with crockery for 10 people should you wish to entertain in the evenings.
There is a separate toilet and shower room so this frees up the loo!
The mobile home also has air conditioning which keeps the air at a comfortable temperature no matter how warm it gets outside. There is also a CS radio stereo so you can bring a couple of your own CDs to play as there are very few English speaking songs played on the radio.
Outside we have a large decked area that is great for eating outside after cooking a barbecue, which is also provided. Or just sit in the sun with a glass and watch the world go by. There is a table and 6 chairs with parasol and 2 armchairs provided for your comfort.
The mobile home has parking for 1 car at the front. If you have an additional car it may be parked beside reception.
Water, gas and electricity is all included in the price of your holiday.
A local tourist tax is payable on arrival by all persons staying (over 13
years) which is per person, per day. You will be advised upon booking of the value.
A bracelet club operates on the site. This allows access to the swimming pool area and the evening entertainment. It also covers other activities on site. Every person over 16 is given a bracelet on arrival which must be worn for the duration of you holiday. This is also an identity so security knows you are a resident for a particular period.
The reception is open until 9pm, after which a night security is present until morning. If you plan on arriving after reception has closed in the evening, prior notice must be given so that your keys can be left out for you.
La Sirene
La Sirene is located just outside a small village called Argeles sur Mer.
The beach (North Beach) is only 10 minutes away, which can be accesed by either walking, by car or by the La Sirene shuttle bus. This service is available to those staying on site and upon showing the bracelet, is a free service. This runs daily and times are available at the animation stand at Sirene. The animation stand also has information on lots of local interest, things to do a see both on site and locally.
In the evenings there is evening entertainment at the Syppox Theatre. In previous years they have presented shows such as Grease, Cats and The Lion king, to mention just a few; these are a must as it's a great night out.
During the day there is a large tropical swimming pool area where you will find pools with various slides, a children's pool, games area, and jaczzi area all of which is surrounded by rocks and tropical vegetation.
You will also find on site, 4 tennis courts, mini golf, archery, table tennis and 2 children's playgrounds. Also in Hippocamp, which is just accross the road and owned by the same company, you will find a football pitch, volleyball and boules area. Abybody staying in La Sirene can use these facilities. There is also a separate evening entertainment programme there, so please do feel free to participate.
The site has a well stocked supermarket and bakery for those fresh breads and croissants. There is also a souvenier shop, newsagents, launderette and an ice cream parlour just beside reception. The restaurant and take away are located in this area also. The pub is open all day and sometimes shows sports when there is a live match on etc.
For those energetic enough, there is a night pub which stays open later than the pub. For the younger ones a disco operates; times are available at the annimation stand.
In reception there are computer terminals which are coin operated or alternatively, bring your own laptop and borrow a connection lead (deposit
required) and internet is free. Telephones, pass machine and postboxes are located in the car park at reception.
There are some activities that are not covered by the bracelet club, these include aqua diving, downhill mountain biking etc. which are charged locally.
For those who would like to see the local area at a pace, bikes are available to rent on site at the bike shop, located at the mini golf.
A petit train operates around Argeles, stopping at La Sirene, which takes you around the area (payable locally). This is very easy way of getting around in the evening hastle free and with no parking worries, as it gets busy in Argeles in the evenings with people going to restaurants and evening markets etc.
There is also a large supermarket 5 minutes away (Carrefour) where they have an English food section.
Day trips which include Barcelona etc. are organised on site and details are available at the animation stand. There you can also get information on bus and train timetables and the prices should you wish to travel outside Argeles.
Just 5 minutes walk and you will find a Lunar Park, which has a carnival, go karting, canoeing, paint balling, bowling and Argeles adventure park so that in the evenings there is plenty to do and see.
There are numerous wine caves as well as locally produced fruit and veg stalls which can be found on roads in the Argeles area.
So all in all this is a holiday not to be missed - many people return to La Sirene year after year to enjoy another holiday.
