We have a shed next to the mobile home, which houses a couple of adult bikes, barbecue and beach toys for you to use during your stay. You’re also welcome to use our tennis rackets and other sports equipment.
There’s a parking space and a small pebbled garden area.
We provide quilts and pillows, but you will need to provide bed linen, which can also be hired from reception for a small charge if you prefer.
La Carabasse
La Carabasse is a very popular site situated approximately 500m from sandy beaches on the Mediterranean coast. The beaches are an easy walk either along the road, which has shops, bars, cafés and restaurants, or along a footpath to where La Carabasse Beach Bar has food, drink and some water sports that are available in high season.
La Carabasse has fabulous outdoor facilities such as a swimming pool with qualified lifeguards, four lane waterslide and water chute, tennis courts, basketball, multi sports pitch, boules, bike hire, pool table, table tennis, outdoor children's play areas and children's clubs for ages 1 to 14.
To take advantage of the pool and slides you have to obtain a fun pass from reception. These can be bought daily or weekly at a small charge.
The Carabasse beach club offers a whole spectrum of water sport activities from pedalos to windsurfing. The beach bar is open May to September and serves food and drink.
Also on site is a supermarket with its own bakery, which is very well equipped for everything you need. There are other supermarkets nearby which give you more variety and are cheaper.
Additional facilities on site include a launderette, restaurant, take-away, safety deposit boxes, bureau de change and an information point. In the evening you have the choice of two bars, one for your main evening entertainment outside, and the other to sit and enjoy a quiet drink either indoors or on the terrace.
The site management organises games, competitions and shows to provide a varied programme of family entertainment.
Local Area
Locally, you can either head towards the shops, restaurants and bars on the beach road or you can head towards the old town of Vias and have a quiet drink in one of the bars tucked away amongst the maze of alleyways. Vias is a typical small French town, steeped in history. It has a central market square, bars, a few shops, restaurants and a twice-weekly market.
For non-stop fun you can visit the Europark Leisure Park, which is close by.
It has fantastic rides that suit children and adults. You can also have a game of mini golf or have a go on a bungy swing.
The Canal du Midi passes close by, crossing the Herault river at the nearby larger town of Agde, which has buildings dating from the 14th Century. A little further on the modern resort of Cap d'Agde is also worth a visit. If you fancy exploring away from the area for the day, there are plenty of places to visit such as Montpellier, Carcassonne and Spain is only a couple of hours drive away.
