Outside there is a covered deck with wooden seating and table. There is also a large patio area with 3 loungers as well as a gas barbeque and bike rack.
Le Bois Dormant
Le Bois Dormant is generally regarded as one of the best holiday parks in the Vendιe, with excellent facilities and a great atmosphere on site.
The sister sites of Le Bois Dormant and Le Bois Masson are just minutes away from one another, but have completely different personalities. This means you get the best of all worlds, as if you stay at Le Bois Dormant you can still use all the facilities of Le Bois Masson and vice versa.
At Le Bois Dormant a long winding road leads you to a very French style pool complex, with a bar terrace overlooking one of the larger pools and the children's pool. You can also see the lower part of the slides.
The Parc is sandy with the many trees providing some welcome shade in the hot weather. Le Bois Dormant feels spacious and relaxed, and creates a relaxed atmosphere with the park staff making you feel that nothing is too much trouble.
Le Bois Dormant has superb facilities and is very busy during the day, with the pools and waterslides attracting lots of attention - particularly from the children. For some splash-free activities your children could try their hands at mini-golf, and Bois Dormant also has a large multi-sports pitch with running track, football and basketball. Many children on the site, especially during the high season, gather here each afternoon for a game of football. The kid's clubs on site do arrange football coaching sessions and further details are available from reception.
However, if this all sounds suspiciously sporty to you, you can still do nothing more than soak up the sun.
Le Bois Dormant is not quite as busy at night but if you want more action just nip over the road to the entertainment complex on Le Bois Masson. You might pass some of their guests heading in the opposite direction for some more relaxing entertainment! What a perfect set-up.
For daytime activities tennis, football coaching and cycling are on offer and as well as the usual pools and slides, there is also a sauna here, though I'm more tempted by the table-tennis as I've perfected the art of barely having to move at all whilst playing it!
If you are keen on something more active there are some excellent golf courses in the area, or you could consider sailing or boat trips.
