Our mobile home is situated on a large grass plot with ample car parking for two cars.
Le Ecureuils
Le Ecureuils is a pleasant, four star site that is open all year round. It is not a large a site and is very well managed with very friendly staff.
Well behaved children are most welcome. The site has 24 hour security.
Just a few minutes from the site is the beach, with a very large lake at the edge of the site. The lake is excellent for smaller children, with shallow water and a sandy beach as well as good parking facilities. Or cycle there if you prefer, the area has excellent cycle ways all through the pine forests and surrounding area. The ocean is only few minutes by car to Biscarrosse Plage where you can experience some of the best surfing in Europe.

The Lake is super for families with young children providing safe, shallow bathing and golden sand. For the more adventurous all kinds of watersports are available.
Biscarrosse Ville - Just minutes away from Les Ecureuils. Nice town with market day on Tuesday near the church. Super U and Le Clerc supermarkets and Lidls are close by.
Biscarrosse Plage - Minutes away by car or take an enjoyable bike ride through the Pine forest on the cycle ways to the Plage. Great beach for swimming, body boarding and surfinging. Numerouse places to enjoy a meal and drink.
Parentis en Born - Nearby market town with good bars and restaurants, great weekly market and August fete, Super U supermarket for great shopping and dirt cheap wine, a bullring for those who wish!!!
Mimizan - Great seaside town, the best surfing beach in the world (no exaggeration!). Visit Bar Le Surf and get free beer tokens!
Dune du Pyla - the highest sand dune in Europe, a must-see. It also has a life of its own, having already swallowed trees, a road junction and an entire hotel! The Dune was used in one of the StarWars films! Climb the Dune in the evening and watch the sunset. Stunning views of the basin.
Contis Plage - A small, unspoilt seafront village, with a dramatic and beautiful estuary flowing into the Bay of Biscay.
Capbreton/Hossegor - Upmarket and chic, the port at Capbreton is a mecca for boat enthusiasts.
Bordeaux - Home of fine wines and regional foods, not to mention fine architecture and great shopping. The worldwide success of the city as a wine centre can be experienced through numerous wine tasting excursions organised by the Bordeaux Tourist Board, and is also reflected in the numerous sumptuous residences built by wealthy merchants, many of which can still be seen today throughout the city.
Biarritz - Beautiful old city, wonderfully chic shops & buildings and a dramatic seafront. Originally a whaling village, in the 18th century doctors recommended that the ocean at Biarritz had therapeutic properties, inspiring patients to make pilgrimages to the beach for alleged cures for their ailments. Surfing at Biarritz is of a world-class standard, and the town has a strong surfing culture.
Arcachon - A renowned Victorian health centre. Offering a variety of shops, restaurants known for their seafood, and a world famous oyster farm. Plus a zoo with 100 big cats and bears and a tropical aquarium. Take an enjoyable boat ride around the basin.
St Jean de Luz - beautiful old Port and one of the most amazing churches in France.
