The main bedroom has a double bed, large wardrobes, cupboards and drawers.
The second bedroom has two single beds which can be placed together to make a double bed. There is also a wardrobe and cupboards in this room. The third bedroom has a single bed and a bunk-bed, set at an angle, allowing space for the wardrobe and cupboard underneath the bunk bed. Please note that although the bunk bed does have a safety rail, it is not suitable for very young children or adults. We have a portable cot side to convert a bed for a very young child. There is also a double foldaway bed in the lounge area.
There is a hairdryer, iron, ironing board, a portable electric oil filled radiator and vacuum cleaner, available for your use.
In the lounge there is a gas fire, TV with Sky freeview channels, DVD player, radio and CD player and an electric fan.
All electric sockets inside the mobile home are English type requiring
English 3pin plugs or adaptors. On the terrace the electric socket that
serves the lights and fridge/freezer is the French type.
In the kitchen there is a gas oven with four ring hob, fridge, microwave oven, electric kettle and toaster. There is also a fridge freezer in the terrace room, and a a statutory fire extinguisher and fire blanket in situ.
There is a dining table with seating in the lounge area and there is also a large table with eight chairs on the terrace, with lighting, which makes it ideal for barbecues, entertaining etc. There are two sun loungers on the terrace and a 'hostess' type picnic trolley.
Because we like to spend as much time as possible at our mobile home, we have tried to provide all the comforts of home.
Domaine de Kerlann
Domaine de Kerlann belongs to the Siblu (Haven Europe) group of holiday
parks. It is in South Brittany close to Pont Aven, on the road to Nevez,
about an hour and a half drive away from the ferry port of Roscoff and about an hour’s drive away from Brest airport.
Domaine de Kerlann is a very attractive site with various attractions for
people of all ages. The park is very well maintained with good roads,
recycling facilities, and gardens which are a blaze of colour throughout the
season. The facilities are kept in exceptionally good order and the
general atmosphere generates feelings of comfort, friendliness and safety.
In the reception area, the staff are bi-lingual and are very helpful and
supportive in any situation. There is a Bureau de Change in the reception
and lots of information about local attractions, current events and
activities. Fun passes are required for most of the on site amenities and
activities and these can be purchased at the reception.
The amenities on the park include a laundry room with washing machines and
tumble dryers. Tokens for these machines can be purchased at reception.
There is a well stocked shop, a take-away food outlet, restaurant, bar with
large TV screen (good for big sports features) and internet access. There
is a games room for older children, a large indoor entertainment area with a bar, pool tables and an outdoor entertainment area with a stage, lights and
seating area. There is entertainment most evenings and discos later.
There is a weekly cabaret and sometimes a theme night, for instance, a Breton market or demonstration of Breton dancing.
The swimming complex consists of an indoor swimming pool, a children’s pool, Jacuzzi and flume, an outside pool, a children’s pool and splash zone and
outside flume. All the pools are heated and they are always supervised by
lifeguards.
There are children’s clubs – PAWS Club is for children aged 1-4yrs; TIGER
Club is for children aged 4-9yrs and T-CO is for children aged 10-14yrs.

playing football, five-a-side football, volley ball, basket ball. There
are tennis courts, table tennis tables, boule pitches and mini golf pitch.
These facilities can be used informally, and sometimes, there are organised games and activities for adults and children.
Our mobile home is sufficiently distanced from the entertainments area, so we are not disturbed by it.
Local Area
Beaches - The whole area abounds with beaches, rock formations, fine golden sand, coarse sand, rock pools, coastal paths – you won’t need to travel far,
whatever your preference. The nearest beach is about three miles away.
These are just a few of our favourite ones and they are all within a few miles of Domaine de Kerlann:
Trevignon – via Nevez, Trevignon is a fishing port where you can buy fresh fish, watch people fishing off the jetty, perhaps do a bit of fishing yourself, look at the boats in the harbour, explore the rock pools, or
simply find a favourite spot on the soft, golden sandy beach. Parking is
along the beach front, where there is a small selection of cafes,
restaurants and bars. Come and enjoy the beautiful sunset at Trevignon.
Raguenez – via Nevez. Car parking available on the approach to the beach
at Raguenez. To one side there is a large sandy beach and on the other
side, there are large, interesting rock formations and large rock pools.
There is a delightful coastal path from Raguenez to Trevignon, which
meanders along several lovely beaches. Raguenez Island is a little way
offshore and this can be reached on foot at low tide. There is a footpath
around the island and you may wish to explore the military bunkers that remain from the Second World War.
Tahiti – via Nevez, Tahiti beach is next to the sandy beach at Raguenez.
Before you reach Raguenez, look for the discreet sign to Tahiti beach. It
is well worth the effort. There is a large car park with footpaths down to
the gloriously large beach. Plenty of space for beach ball games.
Rospico – via Nevez, Rospico is a long narrow beach with soft sand and rocks
around the sides. There is an inlet as the tide comes in which is fun for
collecting crabs etc. Car parking is at the side of the approach road,
along the beachside. There is a nice restaurant close by, overlooking the
beach.
Port Manec’h – via Nevez, Port Manec’h has a quaint harbour and also a
lovely beach. There is a sailing club on the beach for those who enjoy
water sports. In the summer there is a diving platform positioned in the
sea and at low tide, you can wade out to the large outcrop of rocks. If
you prefer to relax, there is a nice restaurant close by, overlooking the beach.
Nearby Towns
Pont Aven is a pretty Breton town sitting on the river L’Aven. The French
impressionist painter Gaugin lived here for a time and it still seems to
attract artists today. There are several art galleries, gift shops and
restaurants. There are pretty riverside walks and of particular interest
are the watermills on the river. There are boat trips along the river to
Port Manec’h and also up the river Belon. On market days during the
summer, there is a vast array of colourful and interesting stalls alongside the river.
Nevez is a small but growing Breton town which is the ‘gateway’ to our
favourite beaches. Nevez has a good supermarket and other local shops and
banks. There is a Tourist Information Centre, restaurants and bars.
Concarneau is a large, commercial fishing port and bustling modern town. On market days there is a vast array of local produce and it is well worth a
visit.
Not to be missed, is the mediaeval walled city on the harbour. Within the
walls there are many fine examples of mediaeval architecture, a museum and
walks around the ramparts. There are gift shops, art galleries, bars,
restaurants. In the summer there, various artists such as, musicians, mime actors, live statues etc display their talents and the whole atmosphere is
just wonderful.
Quimper is the capital city of Finistere and it sits on the river L’Odet.
There are boat trips down the river to Benodet. The old part of the city
with its mediaeval architecture, narrow streets and beautiful cathedral
continue to inspire artists today. There are plenty of shops, bars and
restaurants. Market days are particularly interesting. One of the area’s
largest hypermarkets is Geant and this is situated on the main road from Quimper to Benodet.
Other Places of Interest
In the area there are facilities for horseriding, golf, sailing, walking and cycling. There are places to visit such as the zoo at Pont Scorf, leisure park nr Coray .
