The site has an excellent play area for toddlers and older children, and at the rear of the camp is a sports area for football and volleyball. There are also 4 hard surface tennis courts. The site has a well equipped laundrette with ironing boards and irons.

Locally
Argeles is a lively seaside resort about 1 mile from the campsite. The resort has numerous restaurants, bars, cafes and a regular market. A little further along is the attractive marina, known as Port Argeles, which has a wide range of restaurants overlooking the waterfront. Argeles Village is typically French with a traditional feel. All areas in Argeles can be reached by the Little Yellow Tourist Train that stops outside the site every 15 minutes.
This region of France is in French Catalonia, a mixture of French and Spanish cultures; Argeles is about 45 minutes drive from the Spanish border. Only 15 minutes from the site by car is the beautiful Catalan fishing village of Collioure, which nestles at the foot of Mount Alberes, a fortified town with a strong seafaring and artistic past, favoured by artists Matisse and Picasso. There are restaurants to suit all budgets ranging from traditional tapas to fabulous seafood. Behind the harbour is a tangle of picturesque cobbled alleyways with many art and craft shops.
The nearest airport is Perpignan, about 30 minutes drive away. Budget airlines that fly to Perpignan are Flybe from Southampton and BMI Baby from Manchester. Girona is around 50 minutes drive and is serviced by many airlines; Ryanair, BMIbaby, EasyJet. Barcelona is a 2 hour drive (very straightforward) and all major budget airlines fly here.
Alternatively you could take the ferry and enjoy driving through France.
