Camping du Quinquis
Camping du Quinquis is an English owned and run site and is close to the small town of Le Pouldu, famous for its connections with the painter, Gauguin. Le Pouldu boats a small but safe and sheltered beach, which is popular but not crowded. The Port at Le Pouldu offers some fine seafood restaurants.
The larger town of Guidel has plenty of small shops, a good supermarket and also some lovely, but more exposed beaches which are very popular with surfers.
Lorient has a lovely harbour which is the setting for the large annual Interceltique Ffestival in August. A little further afield, but still within easy reach, can be found the picturesque towns of Concarneau, Pont Aven and Quimper, with its timber framed houses.
Finistere borders Morbihan, in which can be found the historic towns of Pontivy, Josselin and Vannes with its ancient cobbled streets and harbour.
Brittany offers something for people of all ages and yet is unspoilt and uncrowded. In addition to its beautiful beaches (often compared to Cornwall but without the crowds), there are beautiful forests, rivers and miles of tranquil countryside to explore.
