Finally, there is a rotary dryer available for you to use if you decide that you must wash clothes!
Camping du Quinquis
Camping du Quinquis is owned and run by an English couple who live on site and are available to help with any enquiries that may arise.
The campsite has been rated as 3 stars and benefits from some excellent facilities, which include 3 swimming pools that can be used by all members of the family, a tennis court, basketball/volleyball court, football pitch, a superbly run children’s club, a kid's games room and a highly recommended take-away (Claude's).
There is also an excellent bar complete with SKY TV (so dad doesn't miss the football!). Laundry facilities are also available in case dad decides to wash instead of watching the footy!
Camping du Quinquis is approximately 3km away from the local beach, which can also be reached on foot. The beaches are very picturesque and clean and are ideal for the family to relax on and the kids to play on (Blue Flag beaches).
The area is very uncommercialised and also has lots of beautiful walking and cycling opportunities (bike hire is available on site).
Highly recommended places to visit include:
'Kerou Beach' - Just 5 minutes drive from the campsite and within walking distance for you fitness fanatics!
This beach is one of the most picturesque beaches in the area with plenty of rock pools and coves for the kids to play in. A beautiful, sandy, Blue Flag beach that does exactly what it says on the tin!
'Auberge de la Pigouliere, Kerou' - Family friendly restaurant in a beautiful location with sea views. Excellent menu - Menu du Jour highly recommended - 3 courses for a bargain price. Just what you need on holiday.
'Les Dimanches' - As above but no sea views. This is, however, made up by its rustic French atmosphere!
'Creperie de St Maurice' - Sit by the river and enjoy a real French crepe. Set in woodland, it is extremely picturesque with stunning views over the River Laita. Once you've eaten you can then visit the ancient abbey and work the calories off!
'Guidel' - Excellent beaches and great restaurants. This is the place to come if you want to rip the surf (or if you’re a dad then probably a muscle trying to retrieve the children!) There is also a superb market that is not to be missed.
