Les Prairies du Lac offers family friendly entertainment in high season, two swimming pools, outdoor play area, bar and restaurant with friendly helpful staff.

Situated on the outskirts of a pretty 16th century village with its own chateau, there is a bakers and shop and a excellent restaurant. The river and lake complex offer pedalos, kayaks, sailing as well as fishing and swimming and a pizzeria.

Nearby are the seaside towns of St Gilles Croix de Vie and and St Jean de Monts with many shops, restaurants and beautiful beaches. A little further afield are the towns of Les Sables d'Olonne, with a fantastic beach and real seaside atmosphere, La Rochelle with excellent shopping and beautiful old walled town and harbour, Poitiers old town and Futuroscope, a theme park based on the moving image (make sure you have a whole day available as there is much to do), Puy de Fou a theme park with jousting, Gladiators Vikings and Muskeeters (again make sure you have a whole day available).

There are also water parks nearby, zoos or why not take your bikes and enjoy cycle rides or walks through the local countryside. Quieter still, get in the wine and cheese and enjoy a quiet evening in, sitting on the decking watching the sun go down.
