There are full kitchen facilities including a full size gas cooker, microwave and fridge with freezer box. There are three bedrooms, one double and two twin. There is also an additional double bed that can be converted from the dining area seating.

The caravan has an integral bathroom with shower, toilet and wash basin. Gas fired hot water and mains cold water is supplied throughout the mobile home.

Don't forget we are wired with British sockets so you don't need those fiddly adapters. There's even an iron supplied!

Le Lac Des Reves

The site is featured in the Siblu brochure and web site where you can see photographs of the site, swimming pools and information on the local area. You can also see details of the similarly styled Elegance mobile home and whilst you are there just compare prices.

Shopping

There is a small shop on the site, but locally there are two enormous hypermarkets, Auchan and Carrefour. There are numerous smaller shops selling clothes, luggage, sports, shoes jewellery and even a Toys R Us. There are lots of retail parks in the area; you'll be spoilt for choice.

Places to Eat

The site has its own bar, restaurant and take-away. There is a restaurant next door which is very nice. The local town hypermarket malls incorporate the dreaded McDonalds and other cafes and taverns. Palavas has its own tower with revolving restaurant, well worth the experience.

Out & About

Montpellier, about 5 miles away, is surely the last word in elegance. It is crammed with history, museums, cafes and restaurants. Old Montpellier, with its narrow streets and hotels dating back to the 17th and 18th centuries, is the home of the magnificent St Pierre cathedral, Place de la Comedie and Promenade du Peyrou. Like most historic French towns Montpellier has a tradition of festivals throughout the year including the Dance Festival in June and July.

Even closer is the local town of Lattes with its courses camaguaruaises (bloodless bullfights) and Maisons des Vins where you'll discover everything there is to know about the region's wine as well as being able to buy some house specialities for your own tasting pleasure.

Along the coast you'll find the wide Blue Flag sandy beaches of Carnon stretching all the way to Grande Motte, with its pyramidal architecture.

Palavas Les Flots, the local fishing village, is split by its canal and provides the annual 'Joutes' games spectacle.

Slightly further away is Le Grau du Roi, situated at the entrance to the Camargue, a delta wilderness famous for its wild white horses, black bulls and pink flamingos. It is also the home to Seaquarium, the biggest aquarium in the south of France with over 200 species of fish including shark and piranha!

Whilst on the water theme why not visit Aqualand at Agde, a water world with slides, chutes and pools guaranteed to cool off a hot summers day. Reduced price entry tickets are also available on the site.

Conversely if you visit St Guilhem le Desert you can go down in the world and visit the superb gorges and caves.

Last but not least just 70 miles away is the world famous Carcassone, the biggest Medieval city in Europe with its churches, ramparts and basilique. Enjoy one of its many festivals that are organised preserving the traditions of the medieval period. The choice really is yours!

Siblu organizes many activities on the site. Out and about you can indulge in many others - the choice is really up to you.

Getting There

We have tried many ways:

Cross channel - choice of ferry, hovercraft or tunnel. We prefer the tunnel, mainly for the speed of booking in and crossing, then drive through France. Again we prefer the auto routes for speed. Driving in France really is a delight and you will be surprised what distances you can cover. With shared drivers it is perfectly possible to cover the whole distance in one day although we do make an overnight stop if we are driving with the children.

Fly - there are regular cheap flights by Ryan Air straight into Montpellier or even Nimes, which is only a 45 minute drive away.

Train - personally we haven't tried this but we are getting good reports from our guests.

Arrival and Departure

Any day arrival or departure can be negotiated. Take advantage of those cheap midweek flights! Just contact us.

Please remember, in order to keep the cost of hire reasonably priced (have you seen those Haven prices!) it has to be expected that everybody leaves the mobile home as they would wish to find it.

On changeover days please depart by 10am and don't arrive until after 4pm. This just gives us time to see that it is clean and tidy and to check the gas between guests.
