Las Filipinas is a 5 minute drive inland from La Zenia. Torrevieja is
15 minutes drive north and La Manga is 40 minutes drive south. The weather is fantastic for most of the year with about 360 days of sunshine per year; also the Alicante region has been named one of the healthiest places to live due to the clean air quality.
There is so much to do within this area, whether you like to hustle round the local markets, chill out in a lovely Spanish town like San Miguel and drink Sangria and watch the world go by, or maybe you like theme parks? If so, Terra Mitica is about 1 hour and 20 minutes north near Benidorm and host probably one of the most amazing theme/waterparks in Europe for all ages to enjoy.
Las Filipinas is a 10 minute walk from Villamartin which has a Plaza that boasts a lovely square offering the holidaymaker a good choice of different style of bars and restaurants. There is a Mercadona supermarket plus a selection of banks within 5 minutes walking distance of the apartment.
Villamartin is one of the best know golf courses in Costa Blanca south and since the 70's many quality villas and apartments have been built around the golf course. Villamartin is therefore a haven for golfers. It is approximately 45 minutes drive from Alicante airport and the beaches of La Zenia, Cabo Roig and Campoamor are all a short distance away.
