The master bedroom has a super kingsize bed, with en-suite jacuzzi bath. The second double room has a super kingsize bed, with en-suite shower room. There is also a twin room with en-suite shower room. All bedrooms have orthopaedic mattresses, mosquito nets, clock radios and hairdryers.
Roof Terrace
The roof terrace has a beautiful cushioned ottoman area with covered pergola. The villa is south facing, so you can enjoy a coffee watching the sun rise over Kalkan Bay or sip a cocktail watching the sun set over Kalamar Bay.
Spacious Living Area
The spacious living area has plenty of comfortable seating including 2 double sofabeds. There is also an indoor dining area for cooler months. For indoor entertainment we provide an LCD satellite TV, DVD player (with large selection of DVDs), stereo, board games and books. Two sets of French doors open onto the patio area.
Modern Kitchen
The modern kitchen has a breakfast bar and is equipped with washing machine, dishwasher, large fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker, kettle, citrus juicer, watercooler, oven and hob. It has direct access onto the patio area.
We pride ourselves on making holidaying with young ones as easy as possible. We offer 2 cots (1 permanent, 1 travel), a highchair, changing mat, potty and even a blender for making baby food.
Private Pool
The villa has its own private pool (no shallow end), with sun loungers, parasols, outdoor dining furniture and BBQ. The outside is littered with colourful and fragrant plants such as prolific bougainvilleas, hibiscus, and trees including orange, plum and banana! The smell of orange blossom in the spring is hypnotic! There is even a grape vine on the roof terrace.
The beauty of our villa is that it has the best of both worlds: your own private residence with pool, yet you benefit from the excellent services on site, including a member of staff to greet you and help with your every need. 24-hour security, maintenance and maid service (including linens) are also included.
Parking is directly outside the villa.
Local Area
The property is situated at the front of a small select development of privately owned apartments and villas, which have all been built to the same high specifications. Guests are welcome to make use of the wonderful facilities at the nearby Elixir and Asfiya Hotels. Here you will find glorious pools, jacuzzis, bars and restaurants. You can also book a traditional Turkish massage & steam bath!
As the site is in an elevated position it affords lovely views of the bays and surrounding hills. The road up to the complex is quite steep, so may not be suitable for the elderly or infirm (although my 86 year old mother managed it!).
There is a small shop down the road, with larger supermarkets in the centre.
Kalkan
Kalkan is a fairly unspoilt fishing village in the Lycean Region, part of Turkey's Turquoise Coast. It has its own pretty pebble beach, plus there are two lovely sandy beaches close by. Kaputas is a ten minute drive towards Kas and the renowned Patara Beach is about 20 minutes away. It is 15km of sandy beach, set in a nature reserve.
If you're not into sand between your toes you could opt for one of Kalkan's 'beach clubs', where you sunbath in comfort on rock platforms and access the clean, clear water directly. The beach clubs all have cafes, toilets and showers.
There are numerous sites of interest in the area, with plentiful excursions leaving Kalkan by coach, jeep or boat. Take a jeep safari into the mountains to visit unspoilt villages or have a therapeutic mud bath in the Dalyan Delta. You can canoe all day down the Xanthos River to Patara Beach or sail over the sunken city of Kekova.
The massive outdoor market at Fethiye is a must, although Kalkan's own Thursday market is also excellent. These are just a few of the trips you can take. Why not hire a boat to have a day sailing around Mouse and Snake Islands? You can swim, snorkel, sunbath and enjoy wonderful, freshly prepared food on board.
